Oswin
Post master & Gossip Extraordinaire
“Ah! There you are. I was just about to start without you. Now, I’ve been delivering letters longer than most can remember, and let me tell you — I’ve read a few along the way (strictly by accident, of course). In my letters, you’ll find gossip, riddles, and the occasional detour about cake or chimney smoke. If it’s happening in Thistlewood, I know about it . And if I don’t know about it yet - I will’’

The ThistleWood Gazette - Dear Bram
“I don’t often write - unless I have something worth saying. But when I do, I’ll tell you about quiet moments, unsolved puzzles, and the little stories hidden between the pages of village life. Some say I notice too much. Others say too little. Both are probably true. You’ll find me with a book in one hand and a cup of tea in the other. Always happy to offer advice to those in need’

The ThistleWood Garden Blog
“If its chaos you’re after, go visit Oswin. But if it’s composting tips and perfectly symmetrical flowerbeds, then you’re in the right place. I keep Thistlewood’s gardens in shape — and occasionally its gardeners. I write to you with seasonal advice, planting guides, and a few well-earned grumbles about unruly hedges. P.S. Penny says I’m not as grumpy as I make out. I suppose she’s right.”

Penny
Owner of Penny’s Pantry
“Come in, come in — the kettle’s just boiled and there’s a fresh tray of something warm. I write from the bakery in between batches, sharing gluten-free recipes, local goings-on, and little notes from the Pantry window. My letters always include something cosy — sometimes a treat, sometimes a tale. Either way, you’ll leave feeling full.”

Mabel
Retired Teacher & Hedgehog About Town
“Isn’t the village just buzzing this time of year? I’ve been out sketching again — spotted a woodpecker by the market, and Lettie dropped her whole lunch in the mud (don’t tell her I said that). I do like to keep busy. My letters are full of little findings: nature notes, drawings, and the sort of stories only a hedgehog with time on her paws can tell.”

Lettie
Reading Club Host & Treehouse Resident
“Oh hello! You’ll have to excuse the glitter — I’ve been finishing bookmarks for the reading club. (I say finishing… starting, really. I live in a tiny treehouse full of books, half-done puzzles, and big ideas. My letters are a bit of everything: book reviews, baking disasters, garden gossip, and sometimes poetry — but only if I don’t spill tea on it first.”
